Lisa Toto is currently the Head of the Medical Retina and Electrophysiology Services at the Ophthalmology Clinic, University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara, Chieti, Italy.

Lisa Toto received her degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara, in 1997, and she specialized in Ophthalmology at the University of Trieste, Trieste, Italy, in 2001.

She is a Researcher in Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara, and she received the National qualification to Associate Professor in 2017.

She is a Lecturer at the Graduate School of Orthoptics and Assistance in Ophthalmology, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara and a Lecturer at the Graduate School of Medicine and Health Sciences, course of Ophthalmology, University “G. d’Annunzio” of Chieti-Pescara.

Her principal fields of interests are medical and surgical retina, cataract surgery and ophthalmic imaging. She is the author of original scientific articles, book chapters, and monographs in ophthalmology, 115 of which are published in peer-reviewed journals included in the Journal Citation Report with a current H index of 29.

She is an editorial board member of Journal of Ophthalmology and Biomed Research International. She is a scientific reviewer of several peer-reviewed journals.
