The course explores both surgical and medical aspects of the diagnosis and management of retinal disorders, including advances in vitreoretinal interface diseases, macular edema, and diabetic retinopathy, as well as emerging therapies such as gene therapy and novel treatment delivery systems.

Advanced surgical management of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, including pneumatic retinopexy, scleral buckling, and vitrectomy techniques.

Advanced macular surgery techniques: management of macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and other macular pathologies.

Use of contemporary vitrectomy systems: understanding flow dynamics, cut rate, instrument handling and intra-operative decision making.
