Dr Michael Kapusta completed his medical school and residency in Ophthalmology at McGill University. He pursued a two -year Vitreo-Retinal fellowship at Doheny Eye Institute, then a pillar of the University of Southern California. Upon return from fellowship training, he established a Vitreo-Retinal service at the Jewish General Hospital of McGill, in Montreal. He was named Chief of that Department and just began his twentieth year in that position. He is head of the Vitreo-Retinal service at McGill University, and former head of the fellowship program.
Dr Kapusta has served on the Executive of the McGill Ophthalmology, and the Association of Ophthalmologists of Quebec. He remains active in those roles. He has lectured nationally and internationally, with particular interests in complex surgical conditions.
