Professor Hayyam Kiratli is the head of the ocular oncology section in Hacettepe University Hospitals. He was graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine and received his ophthalmology training at the same institution. He was then fellow in ocular oncology at Wills Eye Hospital, Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA under Jerry A. Shields.
His main clinical activity spans over all ophthalmic neoplasia including orbital, eyelid, conjunctival and intraocular tumors. His research is focused on uveal melanoma and retinoblastoma. He has co-authored over 155 international and 35 national publications. He also published 11 book chapters.
