MULARONI Alessandro

Alessandro Mularoni MD, Chairman Department of Ophthalmology ,public hospital in San Marino Rebubblic.

Education: Medical Doctor degree, magna cum laude, at the University of Bologna in 1987;

Specialization in Ophthalmology in 1991, magna cum laude, , at the University of Bologna;

He worked at Maggiore hospital of Bologna,  Department of  of Ophthalmology as Director of the Unit of cataract and refractive surgery from 1998 to 2015.

-He has visited several developing countries in Asia and Africa in order to carry out ophthalmic care and surgery as part of humanitarian aid programm.

-Clinically, he specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of ocular surface and corneal diseases and surgery of the anterior segment of the eye.

-He is President of the STUEMO ( Italian regional society of ophthalmology) ,  member of the Board of the following scientific Societies: Italian association of cataract and refractive surgery (AICCER),   International society of cornea and stem cells (SICSSO) , vice-President of Italian society of ophthalmic sciences (SISO).

-Organizer of several International and National Congresses.

Dr. Mularoni is author and co-author of several articles published in peer-reviewed Journals and several chapters book.
