Consultant and vitreoretinal surgeon at the Department of General Ophthalmology of the Medical University in Lublin, Poland

Her surgical experience involves vitrectomy in ocular trauma, retinal detachment, macular disorders, complications of diabetic retinopathy and cataract surgery.

She is an author and co-author of 80 articles in international and national scientific journals and has been an invited speaker at numerous ophthalmological conferences. She is a reviewer for several notable ophthalmic journals (e. g. Ophthalmology, Acta Ophthalmologica).

She worked as a researcher at the Institute of Ophthalmic Research of the Eberhard Karls University in Tubingen, Germany in the field of hereditary retinal dystrophies.

She presented her habilitation at the Medical University of Lublin, Poland based on research on novel methods of the visual function assessment in patients with the visual pathway lesions.

She is a Polish representative in the European Reference Network for Rare Eye Diseases.
