Anna Paola Salvetti, MD, is a Medical Retina and Inherited Retinal Diseases Consultant at the Eye Clinic, Sacco Hospital, University of Milan, Italy, directed by Prof. Giovanni Staurenghi.

She undertook an Academic Research Fellowship at the Nuffield Laboratory of Ophthalmology, University of Oxford. Her research has been focused on the clinical development of Retinal gene therapy as a medical treatment for inherited diseases under the supervision of Professor Robert MacLaren.

She undertook also a Clinical Research Fellowship at the Oxford Eye Hospital where she was involved in the surgical and clinical activities and as sub-investigator in gene therapy-related Clinical Trials.
