VARANO Monica

Born in Rome on 12-8-1958. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery on 19 July 1984 with full marks and honours, and in 1985 she was certified to practise medicine and surgery. On 15 July 1988 she earned a Specialized Degree in Ophthalmology with full marks and honours. Since 1989 she has worked at the G.B. Bietti Foundation for Study and Research in Ophthalmology, where she has been the director of the Medical Retina Unit from may 2008. Since september 2014 she is the scientific director of the G.B. Bietti Foundation for Study and Research in Ophthalmology. She is the principal investigator in numerous international clinical trials.
