After finishing the residency, she worked for three years in the Institut Clínic d’Oftalmologia of the Hospital Clínic, at the vitreoretinal department. During this period, she developed, together with Prof. Casaroli, the Age-Related Macular Degeneration Unit within the Retinal Departament, in order to centralize all treatment, investigation and clinical trials under the same coordination.
Since 2009, she has been performing collaborative research within the Medical Retina Unit, the Retinal Genetics Unit and the Vitreoretinal Unit of the Instituto de Microcirugía Ocular. In 2011, she obtained a post at the Medical Retina and Uveitis Department of the Instituto de Microcirugía Ocular, which is her current position.
