Dr. Paolo Sivelli is currently a consultant ophthalmologist in Varese, Piacenza and at the Eyecare Clinic in Milan.
He graduated in Medicine at the University of Pavia in 2003, qualified in Ophthalmology cum laude at the University of Varese where he also became PhD in microsurgery and surgical biotechnology. He has been for many years the Head of the service of corneal surgery and pathologies at the Istituto Città Studi in Milan.
His major clinical and research interests include corneal transplantation, amniotic membrane, Grave’s orbitopathy, anterior segment prothesis and glue advanced surgical technique. Dr Sivelli is the author of several book chapters and scientific publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
During his postgraduate experience he has been a university lecturer and trained medical students and residents in ophthalmology.
Dr. Sivelli has been invited as speaker and moderator at a wide variety of international congresses and courses being an active member of scientific ophthalmological societies such as ARVO, SOI, SILO, SITRAC and AIMO.
