Cesare Mariotti MD, Phd Professor of Opthamology, Head of Eye Clinic, Polytechnic University of Marche, Ancona, Italy
Prof. Mariotti is full professor of ophthalmology at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, Polytechnic University of Marche and head of the Eye Clinic of Ospedali Riuniti di Ancona, Ancona, Italy. He achieved his medical degree with praise (1984) at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) and his residency in Ophthalmology with praise at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) under the supervision of Prof. Rolando Tittarelli. He achieved a PhD in Neuroscience at the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) in 1994. His interests include the vitreoretinal surgery and retinal multimodal and advanced imaging. Prof. Mariotti has been investigator in several multi-centric trials and participated as invited speaker in many national and international meetings. He is Author as Principal or co-investigator of more than 120 publications in international peer reviewed journals, many of them focused on the vitreoretinal surgery and retinal diseases. In 2019 Prof. Mariotti served as president of the Italian Society of Retina Specialists (SIR). Prof. Mariotti is a stable advisory board member of the Italian Group of Vitreoretinal Surgery (GIVRE) and of the STUEMO Society. He is member of several prestigious societies such as: Società Italiana di Scienze Oftalmologiche (SILO), American Academy of Ophthalmology, Euretina (European Society of Retina Specialists), Association for Vision and Research in Ophthalmology (ARVO).
