Giulia Coco completed her specialist training in Ophthalmology in 2018 and achieved her PhD degree in 2022 at Tor Vergata University of Rome (Italy). She completed a Research Fellowship in Cornea and Ocular Immunology at the Schepens Eye Research Institute, Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA) and Clinical Fellowships in Cataract and Ocular Surface Neoplasia and in Cornea at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital (Liverpool, UK).

Her expertise and research interests are in corneal surgery, cornea and ocular surface diseases. She has been speaker at several national and international conferences and has authored several scientific papers.

She worked as Cornea Consultant in Liverpool (UK) and she is currently Ophthalmology Researcher and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Tor Vergata University Hospital in Rome (Italy).
